We had our work Christmas party last Friday and this little dress is what I chose to wear. Can we just talk about it for a second. I mean, can you believe it was only $35? It was one of those finds at Forever 21 that was almost too good to be true. The only thing better about it was that my sister and I both wore this little number to two different Christmas parties. I think it's safe to say we got our monies worth out of it, and then some....
On a completely different note, my work Christmas party meant a whole lot to me this year. And actually, every Christmas event that has happened - from decorating the tree, to shopping to family game nights. They've been something special to me and have reminded me that this really is the best time of year. I had almost forgotten in the pain of all that has happened this year, the true meaning of Christmas. It really isn't about the presents or shopping or what's under the tree, but it's more about those moments. It's about slowing down and spending time with the people that mean the very most to you. And those little moments over the past few weeks have just proven to me just how grateful and thankful I am for those people. They've been around me through this trying year - where my faith and perseverance have been tested more than I thought possible. It may have taken exactly a year to say this but I can now safely say I made it. And so this Christmas I want to send a little gratitude out into the universe. Because it's the numerous moments I've had this December and the people that have shared in those moments that remind me life really is beautiful.
