So I got this dress last year at H&M for like $15. I really love the idea of this dress - lace, scallop detailing, sheer sleeves, shift style - all perfect. And not to mention, shift dresses are one of my favourite styles to wear because they're just so darn comfy - not mention, easy to style. However, every time I put this particular dress on, well, I feel a little square in it. I'm not sure if it's the shape of the dress, the loose sleeves, the neck line - but whatever it is, I feel square. In any event, though, I'm going to continue wearing it because it's cute - and I'm going to embrace the squareness and all!

Such a pretty lace dress!
ReplyDeleteIt's a really cute dress and I love the contrast of the girly white paired with the black tights and boots!
ReplyDeleteHi! Have you tried pairing it with a delicate belt? I think that may help you feel a bit less square and it would highlight your pretty shape. :)

Cute mod dress and i agree with the above comment try styling it with a belt, that might make it less square. Love the lace. So pretty.

I tend to avoid shift style dresses for the most part because of the square factor--I'm more angular than curvy so I don't really try to add straight lines to my wardrobe, but I think this dress looks really pretty on you, I like it with the jacket and scarf to balance the whole outfit out!
ReplyDeleteI really like the white lace with the tougher boots and tights combo. Cute. Stopping by from pleated poppy.
