Lace

So I got this dress last year at H&M for like $15.  I really love the idea of this dress - lace, scallop detailing, sheer sleeves, shift style - all perfect.  And not to mention, shift dresses are one of my favourite styles to wear because they're just so darn comfy - not mention, easy to style. However, every time I put this particular dress on, well, I feel a little square in it.  I'm not sure if it's the shape of the dress, the loose sleeves, the neck line - but whatever it is, I feel square.  In any event, though, I'm going to continue wearing it because it's cute - and I'm going to embrace the squareness and all!

  1. It's a really cute dress and I love the contrast of the girly white paired with the black tights and boots!

  2. Hi! Have you tried pairing it with a delicate belt? I think that may help you feel a bit less square and it would highlight your pretty shape. :)

  4. I tend to avoid shift style dresses for the most part because of the square factor--I'm more angular than curvy so I don't really try to add straight lines to my wardrobe, but I think this dress looks really pretty on you, I like it with the jacket and scarf to balance the whole outfit out!
